Avg Network Filter Driver Problem
AVG Internet Security Firewall Blocks all. And disable AVG network filter driver to fix. Same problem. Since AVG does not have.
When I go into properties, there is no protocol enabled. Under 'this connection uses the following items'.I have:- Client for Microsoft Netwoks AVG Network Filter Driver QoS Packet Scheduler File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks The four above are all 'ticked', but I am unable to untick them.
Thinking it was due to a bad AVG install/uninstall, I was particularly trying to untick AVG Network Filter Driver. Note there is no IPv4 or IPv6 listed. The field under 'Connect Using' is also blank. I would expect to see the name of the network device in here??? I can access the wireless router it seem with limited access.i.e.
NO Internet!!! The requested operation requires elevation. Thanks for the suggestions, but it doesn't seem to have worked. I attach the results of the resets below:- Microsoft Windows Version 6.0.6002 Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

No disks.although frien at office has disks she said I could use to install Windows 7 - a bit nervous about this!! I can't install TCP/IP following the instructions as when I open netwok connetion properties, there is nothing in the 'Connect Using' box and below there is no mention of IPv4 etc. You can see this on the second screen shot that I attached. This means when I try to install, it says 'you must have at lease one protocol selected and enabled'. Does this help any? I have tried typing the name of the network device/card in the empty field, but it doesn't seem to accept text.
